Dear Friends and Neighbours,

I am truly grateful for the support and responsibility you have given me as your elected representative to the Toronto District School Board.

As your Trustee, I have supported four consecutive balanced budgets that have brought in change to better strengthen our school system.

New investments in programs such as special education, English as a Second Language and international languages have helped to meet the needs of a diverse student population.

I am proud of these accomplishments, but there is more work to be done. Capital funds are needed to repair aging schools, while a full review of the funding formula is long overdue.

Scarborough-Rouge River deserves a strong voice for public education. With your support on Oct. 25, I will continue to advocate for better schools and stronger communities.
